It will soon be the end of 2018 and before it has passed through our space and time. I would like to squeeze a bit more time from it.
I would like to help you get a jump start into 2019, so that your time will be effectively used. We suffer for a lack of word, lack of time. With that been said we either take on more tasks than we have time for.
Or, we are eagerly ambitious and wish to pursue more with our time. On the other side of the coin time well planned can help us get things done – On time. I said, a well planned time table helps get tasks done on time.
So, if you have children in school, teach them how to plan. Are you a student, there is a plan for you? Or a full-time employed person? It’s all possible if you will take time right now to write it out.
This brief window of time can jump-start your 2019.
Within the next three weeks, take a Sunday afternoon and talk to yourself on paper. Write down what you want to pursue within the next few months. After it is roughly written on paper, write it again on your calendar, allowing yourself sufficient time to accomplish the task.
Remember you have 12 months, so spread out your tasks within that time. Do not overload your schedule. Life happens and having some flexibility will ease the pressure on you.
As you write the task on your calendar give it a specific hourly time. So, if you have 3 hours after dinner. Write from 7 pm to 8:30 pm – This is the time you will dedicate to your project. Clearly written out goals bring purpose and clarity to your life. Next, write the days of the week you intend to work on your projects.
Start by asking questions: Do you want to take a holiday with the family to the Caribbean Beaches? Do you want to become an entrepreneur? Etc.
Keep adding to your list big and small things. Make it fun and exciting. The more you commit to paper the clearer your mind becomes and so you can focus on today. This is also an act of discipline and commitment. When you have completed your list, go back and prioritize the tasks.
Getting started is the hardest task for most people. I have made it very simple to help you to get started.
Let’s suppose 2019 is your year for starting your own business. Do you already have a business idea in mind or do you have to research it?
Step 1. Plan time to do your research.
If you are presently working with a company, you may only have a few hours after dinner and weekends. Utilize this time wisely. Get out your calendar and write down the evenings you are going to research your future business.
Give yourself a few weeks to research before making a decision. Let’s say from January to March is enough time to find the perfect business opportunity. I like to make this process quick, otherwise there is a tendency to prolong the movements and it takes longer than necessary.
Step 2. Plan how you’re going to execute the new business and what is involved?
Do you have to write a product, make a video course, prepare downloadable eBooks? Or will you sell a physical product?
Step 3. Let’s start with the logistics.
Open a bank account for the business. Register a domain name for your website. There are easy DIY websites. I recommend Shopify because it has excellent marketing and sales tools already built-in.
Step 4. Add your products to the website and start advertising.
Your business can be up and running in 3 months or less. The biggest part is choosing the right product to sell. But even that is not a concern. Use Amazon for product reviews to find best sellers.
Step 5. Planning is for everything in life.
To live financially free you have to plan how you are going to invest your time and money. Teach your children how to plan their projects and after school events. Get teenagers into routines of planning their future goals.
This cannot be stressed enough – Plans make your life stress free.
Plans helps teenagers visualize their future. Parents can accomplish more when children have taken up their responsibilities.
Everyone can live happier when life is organized.
