Good day, what’s the rush?
We are all guilty but, not of our own doing of over exerting our mind with intense levels of mental work. It’s seems a riddle to have intense mental work, consider for a moment how much mental processing we do in a day!
Not only are we ‘doing’ the normal family life chores. We add school chores, business chores, work chores, self fulfillment chores, and endless more to life. It all adds up to become a mental burden, yes it’s an enjoyable rush at times. At the end of the day it’s all a mad rush!
We rush when we start the day, we rush when we eat, we rush when we socialize, we rush when helping our families. Rushing rush the brain into impulsive behaviours and sometimes those behaviours are not rational. Therefore the brain cannot do what it’s supposed to do, which is to accurately guide us in this life.
I know this statement seems far fetched and needs time to digest. Stop rushing and give your brain TIME to process life. Can a seed produce it’s fruit before it’s time? Speed is a gravely thing, you end up going somewhere that takes you no where. Hmmm. Do less to do more.
The paradox to rush is it shorten our productive time, shorten our relationships, shorten our communication our understanding, shorten our focus our attention and reduces our wisdom. Then we become even more reliant on digital to do the mental. Are we losing our mind?
“As the world turns,” normal life is in jeopardy this to adds a few more layers of mental burden. While we’re in the “as the world turns” mode let’s simplify our life go back to the basics to turn down the heated mental burden. Yippie! Let’s find Joy and inner happiness using what we already have and thats doodling.
As a child most of us doodled and coloured. We engaged in play of the mind without awareness of fun and relaxation. From research view point, adults can have the same benefits even more as we rediscovery the joys of doodles and colouring to our health.
Doodles or scribbles, and colouring books has been around for a long time. But with the growing popularity of digital products we learnt to take short cuts. We spend less time writing and reading on physical paper books. Instead of typing out a message, we make audio messages another short cut.
Our brain is designed to mature at a certain pace, learn at a certain pace, understand and gain wisdom at a certain pace. Can you comprehend anything in a rush? Why are we in a rush?
Get back you life / time with mindful creativity.
