In 2016, I made this simple discovery about How and why my dreams came true. Is is so simple and I was already doing it unconsciously.
Have you had things you thought of show up in your life? I did but did not know the reasons.
I was dreaming of things I want to happen in my life. And many of these things happened as dreamt. I was not spooked it happened sometimes immediately and sometimes it happened in years to come.
For example. As a young girl I secretly wanted to serve in Africa, after watching on television starving children in Africa. Twenty years later, I got married to a South African and moved there. While living there we developed and served in a children ministry. Later, my husband and I freelanced establishing one of South Africa largest church online process.
My dream of studying in New York City came true. I wanted very much to have my own business in fashion which happened. A thought of travelling around the world happened and it was paid for in cash. The thought of owing an Apple computer came true a few months later. People and opportunities kept showing up even now as I speak.
Although, I these actions where done mentally, unknowingly. I did not consciously make all the right choices for my life. I was not fully utilizing what I already knew was working until one day. I looked back at some older pictures from 2008. In a photo background there was vision board pinned on the wall. I looked closer at the old vision board and saw some of these things did happen.
I looked at others pictures and journals I wrote during my earlier years. It was the same, the pictures proved to me these things showed up in my life. Thankfully there was nothing bad written down.
It dawned on me that I am where I am in life because of thoughts and words I spoke about my life. It was also notable to me that I was not very clear on what I wanted for my future. I was vague and sketchy about my future. Which meant sometimes I dreamt and sometimes I lulled . WOW!
My life outcome was directly related to decisions I made. My decisions and choices could have been more thought out. My success and failures were based on what I perceived to be right choices.
After making those connections about myself I got disgusted of how little I valued my own choices. I was caught up listening to other people and made choices based on other people decisions. Stupid me.
Looking back, I believe these occurrence happens to many people unknowingly they also do not know how to connect the dots. And I now know the reason.
I contribute these facts to following my inner vision. Not knowing your vision is a hinderance. Realizing I can create a better life I am building my next phase in life.
How to get started
Begin by asking yourself questions. How do I want to live?
What do I want to do for a living? Create your ideal life and act it out.
What does my ideal life look like?
Collect old magazines from the library. Cut out pictures which represents your new life. Pictures stimulates our imagination. We think in pictures.
Pictures stirs up emotions which means “I want this in my life”. As days and months goes by keep adding to your vision board more meaningful pictures and quotes.
Read the quotes every few days and keep the vision board on a wall where it is seen. You can make various vision boards for business, future dreams, a spouse, children, charity, debt, passion, travels…
Today, the first quarter of the year has passed. I have seen everything materialized. My husband and I built two online shops. Monetize my blog. I contribute to teaching children with HIV in Africa the power of vision. This is working exceptionally well. I look forward to adding more to my vision board.
My question to you! Do you have the courage to dream big dream and have a better future?
