Just as the rich rule the poor, so the borrower is servant to the lender. (Proverb 22:7)
Business ownership or Entrepreneurship is gratifying. Any enterprise is built by wise planning, becomes strong by the wisdom of God. Profit comes to those who diligently seek God’s advice. “If you fail under pressure your strength is too small”. (Pro.24:10)
Entrepreneurship is an exchange of your natural ability to believing for God’s supernatural abilities. Matthew 25:15. To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to every man according to his ability. When you and I were born, God gave abilities and talents. However, there is always more to know to become successful. Every day add wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
Entrepreneurship is not a natural talent, however it is self driven passion mixed with purpose. Don’t get upset if you do not succeed the first, second or third time. You become bigger on the inside after you have some experience to work with. Proverbs 1:23. “Come and listen to my counsel. I’ll share my heart with you and make you wise”.
Keep Learning
As you navigate through responsibilities personal growth begins to enrich your life. It is like a rewards system. You are born to govern and rule over your life not over people. Learn this early in the game of business, people are your friends not foes. Business is a game you play for your self. It is a game of challenge and conqueror. You only conquer these challenges by increasing your knowledge.
Having your own business is not solely about being your own boss. You go into business to serve people needs and to provide solutions for problems. It’s your mindset that determines your success or failure. You cannot force people to buy from you nor can you set up shop and expect sales to run to your store.
Entrepreneurs mostly work alone. Ideally, you need to be a team of collaborators and partnerships. It is difficult to be objective even to maintain discipline when alone. One person alone cannot run a profitable business. The scenario changes when there are several people operating the business and you have employee etc. For maximum growth share your vision daily with the people you work with and be ready to receive direction. The fruits of good deeds become a tree of life to the wise person.
Maturity Takes Time
Proverbs 3:5,6. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do and he will show you which path to take”.
Ideas and plans takes time to mature. As you mature so does the plan. Developing a business takes time to put theory into practicality with a workable model. Be cautious, do not become money driven prematurely before the foundation is laid. The difference between rich and poor is the way you manage your time and life. Give yourself between 6-12 months minimum to get your business up and running. Remember, product development, marketing, customer awareness and sales are just a small part of your foundation.
New Thought New Thinking New Ideas
You do to learn, you need to be exposed to new things to expand your knowledge. Allow yourself time to make mistakes so you can learn some more. Many great inventors have left behind stories of how many times they have had to re invent stuff to get the perfect one, some say hundreds of times.
Your gifts and talents make room for you. In the pursuit of your gifts and talents to become evident new skills and creativity will flow from doing. Some of these things may seem inappropriate or useless but allow your flow to work through you. Gleam knowledge but do not duplicate other people ideas. Learning from other peoples knowledge causes your mind to develop new thought patterns. New thoughts new thinking new ideas.
The secret of success is finding and staying in your own natural flow. That is the place within you where your creativity flows effortlessly. Your treasures are hidden deep within you, or I like to say it is your God given talents. You know you have tapped into your own personal storehouse of hidden treasure because your heart and mind is touched with spontaneous joy. Seeking the flow means you need to break away from predictable sameness. Rearrange your day, do something different, break the pattern and see what shows up in your life.
