There are wonderful meaningful years in every person life. Times were heroic medallions are achieved. Only you know the sacrifices and training it took to reach the goal. If, you haven’t reached the place of achieving the goal now is a good time to develop a few new skills.
During the years, I’ve established myself in several creative fields with many different companies, with different product lines, in different countries.
In case you’re worried that I’m bragging, let me put your mind at ease: there was absolutely nothing brilliant about what I did. Actually, I was making use of already existing strategies but implemented from another perception.
I learnt as a young budding entrepreneur that doing business should not cost you money. Right or wrong, I did my best to function in the business world with this thinking. In many cases it worked well and a few times I lost.
In every case, I did the exact same thing every time, using ridiculously simple strategies made up of ridiculously simple lists of ridiculously simple actions.
In 1978’s, before internet, google, cell phones or emails. I relied on yellow pages telephone book, a landline and a photocopy machine to do my sales and marketing.
I freelanced in home decor selling drapery and blinds. After I secured samples, supplies and a seamstress, I printed a few flyers and delivered it in my neighbourhood. I waited for the phone to ring. And when it did happen, I got my team together and made house visits.
My team and I visited customers with samples, prices, invoices prepared to close the deal. I was ecstatically exhilarated on a high to experience how easy it was to do business. My appetite was enticed this began a journey into entrepreneurship.
Whether you have a small goal or a big goal or a life goal. The processes are the same. You write it down and then break it down into small bit size pieces. You schedule a to do task each day and finish it by the week or month. It’s important to your moral to finish the task started.
Daily Routines Change Lives
A big story only to say you are a product of training and habits. A deposit today changes life in one year you’ll not recognize the person you’ve become.
Small steps leads to big things. The day I decided to write a blog, I committed myself to daily routines to accomplish the task of blogging. Each day my morning routines were to pray, mediate, read affirmations and quotations.
The reason morning routines are important to me was that it allowed my mind not to use up energy figuring out what must be done. Those questions already had a fixed answer.
I stayed committed to writing a blog per week and marketing the content on social media.
Several years later, I still create content in a larger scale using printed media.
Life happens in small incremental of time. Everyday is precious and worthy of value if not, God would have stopped your time clock!
Daily routines over comes procrastination. Daily routines is progress.
