- Talk to your child of what he or she would like to accomplish eg. be a better swimmer, play music, take art classes, participate in sports or read more books. Ask the child to come up with one small task.
- Start with one small task. Get appropriate pictures from either magazines or the Internet to help your child visualize the task or event.
- Randomly cut out pictures and words. Layout pictures then glue on a vision board. There is no right or wrong way. Have fun.
- Make sure your child task is not to broad, as it will overwhelm him or her.
- Find a way to track progress. Record on a chart the progress use stickers to show progress.
